Blogmas day 7 | Glassy Not Trashy

As some of you may know, I read my Bible or my devotionals every night before I go to sleep. I like to think of the Bible as the perfect user manual on how to live my life, haha. And I also just love spending time with Jesus before I close my eyes to go to sleep.

But I've noticed for a while now that after a busy work day my eyes seem to have trouble focusing, so I started wondering if maybe there's something wrong with my eyes? But because I didn't want to complain or anything, I didn't really tell anyone, and I didn't go to a doctor either because I honestly didn't think it was such a big deal. But recently I've also started getting annoying headaches that seem to start around 7 or 8 o'clock, which is around the same time as my eye problems usually start. I'm fine in the morning and during the day, and also when I have a couple of days off work, so it really only seems to start whenever I get tired at night from working. So after a while I decided to discuss my issues with my mom, and she recommended me to go to the optometrist in my town for a free eye test, especially because both my parents wear glasses, so we figured that having eye problems might run in our family. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't damaging my eyes by ignoring my problems, so I decided to go and get my eyes checked out this morning! :)

Turns out my eyes are pretty much fine whenever I'm not too tired, but when they do get tired, glasses would really help me with my reading and they would also work well against those headaches I talked about. So I decided to choose a pair of glasses from their most affordable collection to see if I feel better when I wear them, as I do not want to waste money on things I don't need. But if I do like them, I could always decide to choose a more expensive pair later (I secretly already have my eyes on these Chloé glasses, shh!). She asked me though, if I'd mind to wear glasses, but I really don't! I actually already have a pair that I like to wear sometimes, but they're not prescription glasses or anything, I just like the way they look, haha. So I'm actually pretty excited for when my glasses are ready and I hope they will help!

Here's a picture of the glasses I picked! :) I wanted some that are easy to style with different make up looks and outfits, and that look chic yet casual at the same time! Do you like them?

    1. Ah! I'm looking forward to getting my glasses, but I'm a bit afraid I will really have to get used to them, and they will make me feel dizzy or something

  5. Great post! I find that my eyes get very tired at the end of the day too, so I should probably get an eye test too.
Love the frames you picked and can't wait to see them on you!

  6. Before I actually started wearing glasses, I had a fake pair that I loved so much and wore just cos they looked great on me and made me appear studios. Well, I jinxed myself cos not too long after, I then started needing a prescription pair. I hope your glasses meets the needs of your eyes.

    Beijo! ^^
