Blessings in disguise

Hey everyone!

I know I've been MIA for over a week now, but I hope you all understand. I'm currently sick in bed with the flu, and not feeling so well, but I'm sure I'll be all better soon.

For quite a long time now, I've been pretty unhappy at work. I do not want to get in too much detail about it, but because they were trying to cut down expenses, my hours kept getting cut, or I kept being called off work, which resulted in me being at home basically 24/7 instead of working. In prayer I asked God several times to help me with dealing with the insecurity of never knowing when I have to work, and not being sure whether I'll be able to pay my bills because of it. It's been so frustrating for me, that it really influenced my mood and daily life. I wasn't my happy self anymore, and slowly going back to old bad habits of overanalyzing everything I eat, and that's a path I no longer wish to take.

I guess my prayer was finally answered earlier this week, when my boss told me they're letting me go after my contract ends this April. After all of the cut hours, I would be lying if I said I didn't expect this to happen, but of course it's always disappointing and scary when you lose your job and income.

But I still have a job till at least April, so I prefer to look at this in a positive way, and see it as a blessing in disguise. I still have a little time to send out applications to find the job of my dreams :) And as I said, I've been pretty unhappy at work for a while now, so to be honest I am really excited and looking forward to finding something new that's a better fit for me.

  1. I'm really sorry you are ill and that your job has been causing you stress. As they say as one door closes another opens and I'm sure you will find another job that you enjoy much more than your current one. Keep on praying.
