Hi everyone!
Do you know that feeling when your hair just feels super flat and boring, and it really ruins your mood? I've been feeling that way for a while now, as I really dislike my boring locks at the moment :( So I did what any smart girl would do in this situation, I picked up the phone and made an appointment for some fresh highlights at my favourite salon, and went shopping for some new hair products!
I've been straightening, curling, teasing, and blow drying my hair for years now, and I've had more perms than I can count, so you can probably imagine how thin and fine my hair is. I was terrified of having to cut my hair short after that much damage, but I somehow manage to keep it pretty healthy and smooth by using the right products for my hair type. I have a couple of favourites that I love and repurchase every time, but I'm also going to test out some new products that I've never tried before. I'd like to point out that I am not sponsored or anything for this haul, and that I have purchased every single item with my own money.

My teasing comb was ready to be replaced, so I picked up a super cheap teasing comb at a local drug store. A similar one can be found here.
I also picked up my favourite hair oil of all time: the Moroccanoil Treatment Light, because it makes my hair super soft and feel very smooth! Just one or two small pumps is enough for my long hair. It smells amazing and it doesn't weigh down my hair at all, which I love.
My hair salon has recently stopped selling my beloved Kérastase Masque Magistral, so I was in desperate need of a new hair mask. I love the Moroccanoil scent, so after reading a ton of positive reviews on this product, I decided to give this one a try. It's the Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask for weakened and damaged hair. I'm very excited to try it out!
One of my favourite haircare brands must definitely be Sexy Hair. I love the feeling of having very smooth, soft and shiny hair, because it makes it much easier to style! And this "Smooth Sexy Hair" shampoo and conditioner really help to achieve that look.
Another product by Sexy Hair, is the "Big Sexy Hair Root Pump Plus" spray mousse that gives my hair a ton of volume. I love to curl my hair, and this mousse helps hold curls very well too.
And last but not least, I got a big set of rollers in a lot of different sizes. I basically only use the large jumbo ones to create those beautiful runway curls Victoria's Secret models often wear, but I was thinking of trying out a cute hairstyle with some small rollers too this summer, so I just got this set instead :) I never spend too much money on rollers, as I don't notice any difference in how my curls turn out compared to pricier ones. But I'm not a hair dresser or anything like that, so if you know if there's a difference, please let me know in a comment! A similar set of rollers can be found here.
Do you have any hair secrets? And what are your favourite hair products?
Can't say my hair has ever ruined my mood lol if it does I'll just get it cut.
ReplyDeletehe he witty post title!
ReplyDeleteMy hair is high maintenance. I have a shaved head and a semi mohawk. The sides are coloured brown and the top is bleached blonde and brown. I have it cut every 3 weeks. I also have a tramline cut into the side at the moment. My hair is also very curly, so I use straighteners on the top. I use Brylcream super strong wax and Tresemme Freeze hold hair spray to keep it spiky on top.
ReplyDeleteBecause it's so short and it's cut every 3 weeks I can be super abusive to it. And I am. :D
Good and sexy, I love it.
ReplyDeleteI hate my hair, that's why I keep it short
ReplyDeleteI love big rollers :)
ReplyDeleteI've only heard great things about the Big Sexy Hair line. I don't really have a fave line per se, but lately, I've been buying anything with olive oil.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a fab weekend, Sharon:)
Used to use rollers years ago but now just use a brush and hairdryer.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite brand is Novex, it's just a miracle for my hair!
