Relaxing day at the sauna

Hey there!

This weekend has been extremely relaxing. Last Friday, my fiancé Marlon and I went to Thermen Bussloo, a beautiful wellness centre set at the edge of a lake here in the Netherlands. There are many different types of saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, pools, and restaurants available, so the day really flew by. We swam, ate lunch, tried out different saunas, took a nap, ate some more, and just relaxed.

To be honest I was looking forward to reading a book in the sun outside and going home without any tan lines, but unfortunately it was pretty cloudy and we didn't get much sun all day. We still had a lovely time though, so I really shouldn't complain. The temperature was nice enough to still walk around outside, and when some occasional rain fell, we were nice and warm inside the sauna or restaurant.

My favourite pool was the salt water cave. Since you float better in salt water compared to fresh water, it's very easy to just lay down and float around. You could listen to calming "aquasound" music by keeping your ears under water which I found very soothing, so I highly recommend checking out the salt water cave if you ever visit!

  1. I'm jealous :) I haven't had a day of break from work since January, and probably won't have any either till the end of winter, too many bestsellers to translate!
